Our dogs LOVE going to DogWorld. And they usually sleep for a couple of days afterwards. They love the water and just the freedom to run around. They have several acres of land with a pond and another area with an Olympic sized swimming pool drained down to have a little walk in, zero entry type area when you walk down the main starts. They also have two in ground kiddie pools, two water slides, and your pup gets a free pup cone before you leave. Highly recommend, especially if you have a water loving pup!
Such a great place with so many different areas for the dogs to run around and play! They have a pond area, multiple pools, even little ones for small dogs with lots of balls in them. There are tennis balls everywhere! The water slides are very cool although our dog was afraid to go down it! The staff was so friendly and they are so great with the dog screenings and interacting with them in the park! Definitely a must visit if you’re anywhere near the area.
We had a blast at Dog World!!! I wish more people knew about this place!!
We visited for the first time on a weekend in September and it wasn't crowded. We made a "reservation" the day of and we were worried it would take a while to be approved, but it was very quick! We uploaded all of our pup's vaccines and info, then I called and the staff said they receive a notification to approve vaccines once they're uploaded, and when they're approved they send a confirmation email. "Reservations" are available every 5 minutes - it's designed to control the flow of traffic so 20 dogs don't show up at the same time.
They request a card on file when you sign up but they do not charge until after you pass the temperament test. $35 for the first day (extra $10 for trainer test) and $25 regular entry fee. Most dog parks are free so this is hard to justify, but consider the upkeep needed to keep this amazing location running, and the amount of fun our pup was worth every cent!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and trainers. They understand many dogs are leash-reactive so they have precautions to prevent leash greetings and other concerns. (THANK YOU!!!)
The temperament test is for first-time visitors. They have a medium, fenced grass area where the trainer and the greeting dog meet and discuss rules. They color code dogs by behavior (ball-chaser versus wrestler, elderly dogs, etc.) so you know the temperament of all the other dogs in the park. Our wrestling orange pup had a ton of fun with his orange friends!!
Start with the huge fenced-in grass area for pups to run and play, with a small pond that is dyed to prevent algae growth. They can also provide access to a creek area that is not fenced, but we did not explore this.
Stop between sections to rinse the pond water off your pup before entering the swimming pool area. This is a slanted, in-ground pool that's partly filled with CLEAN water. We spent nearly all of our time here, chasing dogs chasing balls from the shallow to the deep end of the pool. BONUS, this area has an old putt-putt course-turned dog obstacle course. There are also two small isolated pools if your pup doesn't like swimming with others or needs to get used to the water first.
Go back into the grassy field anytime, or go through a gate beyond the concessions (drinks only for the hoomans) for two water slides designed for dogs. Only the longer slide was active when we went, and these are shallow enough that (although our chicken-dog didn't want to) dogs can actually walk down the slide with water flow and jump into a small pool with play balls. Pass between this gate and the main pool area as many times as you want.
On your way out grab a free pup cone (or buy extra toppings 😋) and head to the dual-fence exit, where pups can eat without other dogs. Just another fantastic safety precaution to keep everyone safe.
TL;DR - this is a FANTASTIC park with awesome staff that we will visit as many times as we can. Can't say enough about how much we love this place.
We had a great time at DogWorld. Located close to Charlotte, it offers a huge swimming pool, water slides, huge open fields, and a very clean lake.
The staff first evaluates each dog's temperament, and each dog is then given a color (placed along their collar) that lets others clearly know that their dog is friendly. This process ensures an issue-free day.
My yellow lab spent essentially the entire time i(hours!) n the pool chasing the dozens of tennis balls they provide 😁 He was very interested in the water slide, but wound up just playing in the ball pit at the end. They even provide a free pup cone (whipped cream) at the end of the day.
All in all, a terrific experience. Everyone, both human and canine, was friendly and responsible. Highly recommended.
My dog loved it. Will be going back once it cools down!
All dogs are required to have vaccines and the staff is attentive to the dogs making it a safe place for your fur baby. Each dog is also evaluated and given a specific color to let everyone know the temperment of your pup.

A dog park that lives up to its hype. The staff is very friendly/helpful. It really has something for every dog. Responsive to emails with any questions before you go. I took my very old lab here. They were great to make sure we all felt safe. Concessions are reasonably priced. Large play areas ,pools , pond, slides , agility course 👍 (worth the drive)
Thank you Dog world! Prior to coming to dog world my one year old German Shepherd did not have much experience around other dogs. When entering we took an assessment test to make sure my puppy would be allowed in the park. The woman handling the test was so nice so caring, extremely knowledgeable when it cames to dogs. My pup was very nervous bit so excited to get to play in “Dog World” after seeing my dog play and interact with the other dogs we decided to get another dog!!! The rules are clearly stated along with the prices. The prices are completely reasonably and I appreciate that they use diligence making sure every dog has up-to-date vaccinations. We drive 12 hours to come to this park from Massachusetts and will do it again
I drove down to Charlotte from Maryland to meet a friend halfway from Alabama and I won’t lie, Dog World was a big (if not the biggest) factor on why we chose to spend the weekend here. And it definitely was worth the hype and exceeded all expectations! This was my first time taking my dog to an off leash dog park as the ones where I live are too small with not much space to run around leading to some fights, so I was definitely a little nervous at first. But the space the dogs have to run around in is huge, and there’s so many things for them to do so I quickly forgot any worries I had. Maya truly had one of the best days ever and swam for the first time. And she was pooped for the rest of the day. Every employee was super friendly as well. I hope we can come back someday!
